Mission Statement
The McKinley Dads Club exists to foster optimal parent/school interaction and volunteer commitment for the benefit of our children. Through active involvement in school activities, dads are able to both enhance their bonds with their children and help build a stronger school/community partnership to ensure a superior McKinley School experience. Through better inter-parental interaction, dads can establish stronger social ties with one another and be more aware of the latest school developments and direction.
Commitment and Meetings
The Dads Club is a volunteer, as-available organization with no minimum commitment required. However, dads are encouraged to attend as many meetings and volunteer events as they can. Meetings and events tend to be a good time to bond while at the same time benefit the school. The proposed date of a regularly scheduled meeting will be the first Wednesday of each month starting in November. The meetings will take place at a designated place set by the officers and will be a chance to unwind and review upcoming activities during the school year.
The Dads Club hosts or helps out with several events throughout the year. Examples of such events are:
- Harvest Festival hay bail.
- Haunted House setup.
- Harvest Festival outdoor setup.
- Harvest Festival teardown.
- Movie Nights
- Pancake breakfasts (TBA)
- BBQs (TBA)
- Sharks Night Out at "The Tank" (TBA)
